Invited Speakers

Bob Bosch (Department of Mathematics, Oberlin College, U.S.A.) wrote the Mind Sharpener column in Optima, the newsletter of the Mathematical Programming Society from 1998 to 2004 and will talk on his recent work on Opt Art - "using optimization to create pictures, portraits, and other works of art".

Maria Fox (Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Strathclyde University, Scotland) works in the AI planning field and will talk about progress towards planning in domains where there are both discrete changes of state and quantities that change continuously.

John Hooker (Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University, U.S.A) is well-known for his work at the interface between mathematical programming and constraint programming. He will talk on different kinds of duality arising in optimization and constraint satisfaction.
